License terms

Last changed November 1, 2026

These are the terms for using Code Review Party ("the app"), made by Hughes Software LLC ("we"). They're written to be read. If something here is unclear, ask: support@review-party.com.

Personal use is free

You may use the app without paying for personal, non-commercial purposes: hobby projects, open-source work you aren't paid for, study, and evaluating it. "Non-commercial" means nobody is paying you, your employer or your business for the work the app is helping with.

Commercial use needs a license

If you use the app as part of paid work, buy a license. We don't enforce this technically; the app works the same either way and simply notes that it's running under personal use until a key is entered. We're trusting you.

Both licenses are perpetual: paid once, valid for every version of the app we release, for as long as we release them. No subscription, no renewal.

What you may not do

Refunds

Within thirty days of purchase, for any reason, email support@review-party.com from the address you bought with. We'll refund the payment and revoke the key.

Revoked keys

A key is revoked when its purchase is refunded or disputed, or when it has been shared outside the person or organization it was issued to. A revoked key stops being recognized by the app within a few hours; the app keeps working as it does for personal use. If a dispute is settled in our favor, or a key was revoked by mistake, we lift the revocation. Write to us if you think yours was revoked wrongly.

Updates and support

Updates are included and delivered through the app. Support is by email, during US business hours, on a best-effort basis. We're a small company; we'll answer as quickly as we can and tell you honestly when something can't be fixed.

No warranty, limited liability

The app is provided as is. We've built it to never write to your repositories and tested that it doesn't, but we can't promise it's free of defects or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for anything arising from the app is limited to what you paid for it.

Third parties

Claude Code is made by Anthropic and is governed by Anthropic's terms. Code Review Party is an independent tool that works alongside it and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. The app includes open-source software under its own licenses, listed in the app's About information.

Changes to these terms

If we change them, the date at the top changes and the new terms apply to purchases made after that date. Existing licenses keep the terms they were bought under.
